At Colony Pest Management, Inc., we have been a family-owned and operated business for more than 40 years; our principal, Joseph Sheehan, has been familiar with the industry since age five! Joseph is a Past President of the Professional Pest Management Association of New York City. He was also influential in the merger of all three New York Pest Management Associations in early 2013

Thoroughly Trained & Experienced Staff

All Technicians are thoroughly trained and must attend rigorous training seminars throughout the year. Everyone is equipped with the knowledge, know how and experience to tackle any and all of your pest control needs.

Our Staff Entomologist is Edward J. Sheehan, ACE. Prior to obtaining his ACE Ed was our Director of Quality Assurance. With over 40 years in the industry Ed also teaches the mandatory course to become a Certified Pest Control Applicator in New York State.

We can usually schedule an appointment within 24 hours and will accommodate emergency situations. We serve New York, including Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties, and New Jersey. We understand that proper professional evaluation yields a strategic plan that can control pests indefinitely. The plan might include intense preliminary treatment, followed by ongoing service customized for your property, or at least by an annual inspection. We are pleased to offer free estimates and contracts for continuous service.

Because so many pests and their damage are not easily visible, many prudent residential and commercial property owners are insisting on preventive pest control inspections as a regular part of their home and commercial inspections. At Colony, we believe in taking a proactive approach to Pest Management.

Environmentally Conscious

We have a vested interest in providing an environmentally conscious, cost-effective solution for your pest problems. Colony’s Integrated Pest Management Program is geared towards being friendly to our environment. For a more progressive/greener IPM approach ask about Colony’s Green Clover IPM Program.

To help reduce our carbon footprint we utilize mobile app based technology and have replaced paper service orders and invoices since 2006. This technology also allows us to bar code and scan any and all equipment we install in or on your property. This further enhances our Quality Assurance Program.

All of our Technicians are equipped with devices that access this app based technology for real time reporting and data. At the end of each service visit our Technician will compile a report with any conditions which are conducive to pests and we will relay this information to you or your designee along with recommendations outlining the quickest way of eliminating them

Our K9 Team

All Canines have received 1,000s of hours of training by Certified Master Trainers, in Scent Detection, throughout the US before joining the Synergy Team. All K9s are carefully paired with their Handlers. All K9 Teams MUST get and maintain 3rd party Certification by the National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association (NESDCA).
